WHAT MAKES YOU SAY, “WHAT WAS I THINKING?” WHEN YOU LOOK BACK ON YOUR LIFE?

In middle school, I was obsessed with this shirt combination — a blue striped long-sleeve shirt underneath a blue plaid short sleeve button up. When I say obsessed, I mean, this was my FAVORITE thing to wear. So much so, that unfortunately, I wore it to my 7th grade picture day, memorializing this fashion faux pas forever.

WHAT CHEESY SONG DO YOU HAVE MEMORIZED?

It's not so much cheesy, as it is super random. Paul Revere by the Beastie Boys. 🎶 But I did get to rap it with a few folks at a Future CMO Club summit once. And again at a Leadership Pensacola retreat. It’s great for bonding. 😉

WHAT’S THE MOST AWKWARD THING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU ON A REGULAR BASIS?

I tend to remember folks' names and details shared in fleeting conversation. So when I see them again, I remember their name and things about them — which tends to be super awkward when they don’t even remember that we met. 😬

Why are you obsessed with Chuck Taylors?

So sure, maybe I have two mini Chuck Taylors dangling from my rearview mirror. And maybe, I wear a Converse charm necklace like, every day. And maybe — just maybe — I have a whole shoe rack lined with a rainbow palette of Chucks. But I wouldn’t call that an obsession! I would, however, call it an affinity. An appreciation of a symbol that, to me, simultaneously represents tradition and revolution. A classic way of expressing rebellion.
